HBO has confirmed that Rhaegar Targaryen is Jon Snow’s father

The word of Game of Thrones created by George R.R. Martin is a really complex one with lot of characters and places and at times it can become difficult to keep a track about how characters are related to each other. After the Game of Thrones season 6 finale, we finally were shown that Jon Snow was Lyanna Stark’s son and not Ned Stark’s. As a result, after the episode, Ned Stark went from being Jon Snow’s father to his guardian and Rhaegar Targaryen became his father. At the same time Daenerys Targaren became his aunt and Sansa Stark his cousin. Sounds confusing isn’t it?

The guys at Making Game of Thrones have come up with an infographic which explains how the important Game of Thrones characters were related to each other after we came to know the truth about Jon Snow’s parents. The infographic takes into consideration the 20 key Game of Thrones characters and how each of them were related to the other and the result is one complicated diagram. As the infographic has been created on a HBO website and it mentions Rhaegar Targaryen as Jon Snow’s father, there is no doubt remaining about who his father was. Even though most of the fans have considered Rhaegar to be Jon’s father, after the latest episode, some of the fans were speculating if the father might be some other person (there are always some weird theories right?) but this infographic puts those speculations to rest.
