The Delhiite dream has come true for the people of Eritrea.
With the end of the war with Ethiopia, Eritrea has made polygamy compulsory in the country. Any man or woman not following the law will be imprisoned for life with hard labour.
Sounds awkward?
In the 21st century, can a country do such injustice towards women?
It will be tough to digest but this was necessary to keep the country going because the war washed out the majority of male population. This brought down the sex ratio to nearly 1:2.5.
And the people of a country in Africa are not complaining against it because they understand the problem, unlike Indians who will complain against anything done for their good.
So, Stop Complaining, Start Understanding.
