Akshay Tritiya And Char Dham Yatra

Today is 'Akshaya Tritiya'.
An Auspicious Day.
The word 'Akshaya' means will never 'Diminish'.
The work this day anyone does has a never ending result.
Means if it is a good work a good and if it is a bad one a bad result.
But the result is certain.
And never diminishing one.
So wake up and do whatever you want to do.
It's your discretion.
Get up and 'Abhishek Lord Shiva'.
Go to the market and buy preferably some Brass or Copper Utensils for your sweet home.
Why not Gold?
It's up to you.
But at least one utensil please.
You use utensils throughout the day, not gold.
They are the decorative items for Bank Lockers.
And if you are 40+, and your father around 70, ask him if he had seen his father or your grandfather buying gold on this day?
Be prepared to hear 'NO'.
Its only the money power that has changed the trend and nothing else.
And today the annual Char Dham Yatra begins.
The annual Char Dham pilgrimage in the hill state of Uttarakhand begins from today on the auspicious 'Akshaya Tritiya' festival, with the reopening of the Gangotri and the Yamunotri shrines in the Garhwal Himalayas.
The gates of the temples will be reopened today for the pilgrims after remaining closed for six months during the winters, whereas, gates of the Badrinath Temple in the Chamoli district will reopen on May 11.
Ahead of the Yatra, police have strengthened security measures and the health department is working to provide healthcare facilities on the Yatra route.
After the deadly flash floods in the state in 2013, the Char Dham Yatra had suffered a major jolt.
However, encouraged by the high footfall of pilgrims last year, the tourism department is hoping that the numbers will be more this time around.
The shrines are closed for devotees during the winter season every year as the region, at a higher altitude, experiences extreme cold conditions and they are reopened during the summers.
