Rumours are rife that Hrithik Roshan will soon get replaced and Aamir Khan's name is doing the rounds as a replacement.
Getting a Thug is difficult it seems…
Yash Raj Films’ Thug might soon become Shuddhhi. The cast reshuffle in the film is making our head spin. The action adventure was first announced with Hrithik Roshan in the lead which promised insane stunts. Later, he apparently walked out of the film because he wasn’t convinced about it and would want to see how Mohenjo Daro performs at the box office to figure whether he is game for Thug or no. Then it was Deepika Padukone who was in and out of the film before anyone could say Yay! A few days later, Amitabh Bachchan joined the cast along with Hrithik. Now we hear the handsome actor will not be part of the film anymore and has been replaced by Aamir Khan.
Thug will be helmed by Dhoom 3 director Vijay Krishna Acharya and thus it isn’t surprising to see Aamir’s name coming up here. We are sure they must have shared a great bond while shooting the film. It is expected to go on the floors next year but the film’s yet to get a lead that won’t suddenly decide to bolt. That’s because only today yet another actor left the project. A daily reported that AB has opted out of the film as well since it is getting pushed. He is committed to a lot of films now and thus can’t be part of this film.
We wonder what will happen to this film. It has all the trappings of a good entertainer but finalising a lead is becoming an uphill task here. The film apparently got postponed because Hrithik was kicked about Kaabil more than Thug and thus wanted to do the Sanjay Gupta film first. So from January, it shifted to April but now it’s July and the film is still waiting for a permanent lead to walk in.
