The Catastrophe: The Collapse of a Flyover

The under-construction Vivekananda flyover collapsed on 31st March, 2016. This resulted in a huge bloodshed, leaving many dead and injured.
The dismay caused was followed by a lot of drama.
The army and NDRF were deployed to carry out the operations. And instead of helping the operations by staying away from the spot, CM Mamata Banerjee sat down near Girish Park and with her were the top cops of Calcutta. Is this not hindering the process?
Also, never-ever-ever forget we live in India.
With the city helping the victims, the people allegedly at fault start blaming each other.
Mamata in her first media encounter ventured to blame the Left.
The contractor, IVRCL, blames God, calling the incident an act of god.
Now can someone please, in the name of the same God who is being blamed here, tell me who is at fault.
The last person left to be blamed is Rajinikanth. Tomorrow some leader may say "aamar party-r kono bhul noy, eta Rojinikanth-er kaaj" (our party is not at fault, this is Rajinikanth's fault).
The following day was the fool's day and the newspapers and media channels fooled everyone by understating the tolls in the craziest of all manners. I heard a private hospital's doctor saying at least 70 people have died already, and it was not even 5 yet. My personal sources in a hospital near the site told me that the first round of admissions were either dead at arrival or succumbed to their injuries soon. So, how in the world less than 30 people died?
Mr. U-turn alias Arvind Kejriwal, once continued his speech at Jantar Mantar even after a farmer committed suicide near the stage, for which he was criticized. In this case not one finger is pointed at Mamata Banerjee, let alone being criticized. To clear the clouds, I'm not a Kejriwal fan.
In an urge to find out whom should I blame for this incident/ accident, depending upon whom you support, I researched to the core, the crux, the fulcrum, the crust of the matter. This gave me some funny stories to laugh on.
Firstly, this project was sanctioned by the previous Left government. The builder was awarded the contract by them only. But then a so called 'Paribartan Year' (the year of change) came and the government lost power. With the reins in the hands of a mad lady alias Mamata Banerjee, the state did not care about the project.
Coincidentally, my office is very close to that point where the planks fell. And I personally have seen those planks being installed overnight under the current government. That portion was lying there for quite some time. When this struck me on 31st, I immediately enquired why such hurry? Then I'm informed it was supposed to be inaugurated fifteen days later. So in a rush to complete the project before elections, Calcutta saw the worst of its days.
On fool's day, an expected development in the case happened. The subcontractor was revealed as Rajat Bakshi. Rajat is the cousin of Sanjay Bakshi, a TMC leader of North Calcutta. Sanjay's wife is a MLA.
So, to complete the equation we have:
1. Rush to complete the project
2. TMC involved in construction
3. Understating the death toll
4. Vote bank politics
5. A city in grief
6. A mad lady erecting clock towers.
Just to inform you Mamata Banerjee Clock Towers cannot curtain your inability to run a government and perform as a true leader.
If given a chance, I would happily slap you across your face, so that fake leaders like you don't dare to kill a state.
A forward correctly said:
Mamata has achieved her March ending target. Maa. Mati. Manush.
Manush ko Mati me mila ke Maa Durga ke paas bhej diya.
(Men were put to soil and sent to Mother Goddess Durga)
All condolences with the family of the dead, injured and affected. May God keep them well in heaven after this untimely death.
NOT A PUBLICITY STUNT. NOT SUPPORTING THE LEFT. NOT AFRAID OF TMC.
