It’s on the cards but…
Kabali‘s collections have been what everyone expected it to be. With the kind of wide release it got and the hype around it, the film was bound to make a lot of money. We told you how the the film earned 320 crores worldwide in just 6 days which is unprecedented. No wonder the makers had a success bash recently and that’s where talks about a sequel germinated. In all probability, Kabali 2 is a possibility but if Rajinikanth agrees.
Those who have watched the film know that the film has an open ending. That leaves a lot of room for improvisation and also the possibility of a sequel. When asked about it at the success bash, both producer Kalaipuli S Thanu and director Pa Ranjith are positive about a sequel but there is a small glitch. Rajinikanth has yet to say yes to the follow up and until that happens, they too can’t do much about. There were also rumours Amitabh Bachchan will be cast in the Hindi remake of the same but nothing concrete is known about that.
It’s no surprise that the makers are so eager to have a sequel. There is a magic of Rajinikanth which has to be felt to be understood. He commands a kind of fan following that loves to see him in such movies flaunting heroism. But personally, you will hardly find a more grounded man. At a time when the whole world was gripped by the Kabali fever, the actor was taking a stroll in America. When somebody clicked his picture, he even waved at them. He stays ever so humble that you would become a fan despite yourself. For someone, whose movie is making headlines, the actor sure knows how keep his feet firmly planted on the ground. He was in the States to take some time off as Kabali and Enthiran 2.0 had been exhausting for him.
Well, take all the time you need Thalaiva but do say yes to Kabali 2, we are sure that’s what your fans would want.
